A friendly and interesting church. South Norfolk has a large concentration of mediaeval churches including All Saints Church in Shelfanger.
The walls of the Church show paintings that have been dated to the late 13th century, almost certainly original to the building of the church. The 15th century half- timbered porch on the north side is a delight, as big as a cottage and making a real focus for the building from the street.
In common with the other churches in this benefice, Shelfanger church is very welcoming to visitors.
The church newlsetter Cock Crow is available online at https://www.dissteamministry.org.uk. This website enables you to download the latest edition and gives all the times for the local church services. The Cock Crow is found under the “news” heading on the main menu of this site.
The Rector, wardens and congregation at your church of All Saints send their very best wishes for 2019 to Shelfangarians and all readers.
